The introduction of new technologies is given sustainable support via consortia and shared interest groups, which emerge and coalesce via the IPI network. IPI is involved in international research programs investigating technologies and processes which may have a significant impact on the packaging and packing industry. The findings from a broad range of research across a diverse spectrum are assessed and evaluated so that the potential scope and benefits of new developments are understood and suitable technological responses can be coordinated and implemented.
